	New Flash Animation on Choice Voting Choice voting is a form of proportional representation. Called "the single transferable vote" in some nations where it is used, choice voting is based on voters rankings candidates in order of preference. Here is a short flash animation created in October 2008 that explains how it works. FairVote's choice voting video does not attempt to address all of the specifics of how choice voting works. Here are our answers to some questions you might about the video. Do I have to rank all the candidates? Why is the victory threshold eight votes? Are all first choices counted?
