Terry Bouricius served in the Vermont
House of Representatives from 1991 to 2001, where he had a
major role in such legislative measures as the campaign
finance reform bill adopted in 1997. He first won elective
office in 1981 as a member of the Burlington City Council. He
held that position until 1991, during which time he served one
term as president of the city council. He graduated from
Middlebury College with a degree in political science in 1976.
Terry currently serves on the League of
Women Voters of Vermont state board of directors. He has been
a frequent guest on radio shows and speaker at colleges and
high schools. Terry is married, and has two children.
