Nirvana's Krist
Novoselic Promotes Fair Elections
Krist Novoselic, the former bass player for the band
Nirvana, has been an effective political voice in Washington
state for years through his organization JAMPAC, the Joint Artists & Music
Promotions Action Committee.
He also has been an eloquent
voice for full representation and instant runoff voting since a
series of speeches he made in the fall of 1998.
In November
2003, he announced he was considering a campaign to be lieutenant
governor of Washington state, with one of his highlighted
issues to be his "super districts" proposal for full representation
for the Washington state legislature.
