David
Moon is the director of the Full Representation Program at FairVote-The
Center for Voting and Democracy. An attorney licensed in Maryland, he is returning to the organization having completed
his legal education at the American University,
Washington College of Law. His past work for the Center
includes research on the use of Choice Voting in
Cambridge, MA and New York City.
Over the past several years, David has worked with numerous
social justice organizations, including the NOW Legal Defense
& Education Fund and the ACLU. Most recently, he assisted
the ACLU program, Students Against the Death Penalty, in voter
education efforts and conducted a workshop on systemic legal
problems for grassroots organizers. He has also served on the
Board of Directors of the Innocence Project of the National
Capital Region and was the lead consultant for a victorious
City Council candidate in Providence, RI. In the past, he
co-taught two seminars on political domination at Tufts
University and continues to work on political organizing to
this day.
David is a Maryland native and a graduate of Tufts University
(B.A. in Sociology & Philosophy), but currently resides in
Washington, DC.
