Where It Ranks Among the States (House Elections 2000)
Voter Turnout: 19th (56%)
Victory Margin: 32nd (39%)
Facts in Focus
Fewer than four out of ten adults in Idaho
voted for the U.S. House Member who represents
them.
Idaho's average margin of victory experienced a significant increase from
1998 when it was ranked first in the nation for competitive elections with an average
of 9%.
Contributing to
this marked increase is the fact that one of the two House seats was
won by a landslide, up from none in 1998.
