San Francisco Adopts Instant Runoff Elections

This November, San Francisco voters will use a voting system called ranked choice or instant runoff voting to choose a new board of supervisors. The system allows voters to rank their top three candidates in order of preference, eliminating the need for expensive runoff elections. Hear NPR's Richard Gonzales.
