Monopoly Politics Arkansas 2000

4 seats: 2R, 2D    D 55

Bill Clinton easily won his home state in the 1996 presidential race, but ran more poorly relative to his national performance than in 1992; that year, Arkansas was the only state to give Clinton a popular majority. Despite his recent easy wins, Jay Dickey cannot relax -- he is the nation's only Republican in a district where Democrats are projected to win at least 59% (although that projection is inflated due to Clinton's home-state advantage). Asa Hutchinson once again has drawn no Democratic opposition.
