FairVote – The Center for Voting and Democracy is a national organization based in Takoma Park that is the leading national advocate for reforming winner-take-all elections systems, direct election of the president and a constitutional right to vote.

Two of its local campaigns for this fall are a ballot measure for instant runoff voting in Takoma Park and launching a D.C. metropolitan area call to register all students to vote before they leave high school. See www.fairvote.org
