Paul Fidalgo is FairVote's communications director.  Until recently, he has been working primarily as a professional actor since graduating from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 1999.  From late 2001 to December 2006 Paul was performing with the American Shakespeare Center (formerly Shenandoah Shakespeare) in Staunton, Virginia, as a member of both their touring and resident troupes at the Blackfriars Playhouse, to which he fully intends to return when time allows. He has performed in other productions in the DC area, and teaches with the Educational Theatre Company.

Paul holds a master's degree in political management from George Washington University in Washington, DC. He has worked in media research for the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, served as a writer and researcher for Blue State Digital for the 2008 general election, and interned at ABC News' Political Unit.

Paul is also a songwriter and musician. In 2004 he released his debut album, Paul is Making Me Nervous, which is available at iTunes, Amie Street, and Amazon -- along with much more of his music. His official site is www.paulfidalgo.com.
