After battling pneumonia in Dick's House for the first four days of Student Assembly campaigning, Jeffrey Coleman '08 recovered in time to contend with candidates Travis Green '08 and Christopher Galiardo '06 for the Student Assembly Vice Presidential seat, winning handily with 58 percent of the vote. Green came in second, receiving 41 percent.

Mats Lemberger '06, who ran for Student Body President, came in third place as a write-in candidate endorsed by the Dartmouth Free Press, receiving over 350 votes before being retired in Round 4 of the instant runoff voting race.

An Assembly representative for the Choates residential cluster and member of five committees, Coleman ran on a platform of increased communication both within the Assembly itself and between the Assembly and the student body. He attributed his victory over Green to this focus on Assembly matters. Coleman said Green focused too much on external issues and not enough on internal affairs, where the principal activities of the vice president will lie.

Though presidential candidate Brian Martin '06 was Coleman's first choice for Student Body President, Coleman said he is very excited to work with Noah Riner '06, who he rowed on the Varsity crew team with Fall term.

Rounding out the remaining Elections Planning and Advisory Committee races, Sarah Ayres '06, Jack Groetzinger '07, Stephanie Herbert '06, Alyssa Minsky '06, Adam Patinkin '07 and Danielle Thomas '07 won the six available positions on The Organizational Adjunction Committee uncontested. Ayres, Herbert, David S. Zubricki '07, Jacob Crumbine '07, Kristen Wong '06 and Raina Hammel '07 won the six positions for the Committee on Standards out of 23 candidates.

Delta Delta Delta sorority member Christina Jimenez '06, Phi Delta Alpha fraternity members Nicholas Stack '06, Dino Hall '06 and Taylor Cornwall '06, Theta Delta Chi fraternity member Daniel Oberlin '06 and Sigma Delta sorority member Carolyn Rooke '06 were elected to the Social Events Management Procedures review board.

The Class of 2008 elected Tess Reader Class Council president in an uncontested race, and Jacqueline Loeb '08 prevailed in a close contest over Eddie Kalletta '08 in the '08 vice presidential race. Loeb received 264 votes -- 49 percent -- while Kaletta received 42 percent.
