Petition Statement

We, the undersigned, call for the reform of the Electoral College to provide for the direct election of the President of the United States of America. The Electoral College was established to compensate for 18th century conditions that no longer exist. We believe that a majority popular vote of the people should prevail over this unbalanced and unrepresentative system. We demand that the Constitution enforce the basic tenet of one person, one vote.
