I hope you've heard of FairVote, which is among my favorite non-profit organizations. FairVote is dedicated to fundamental reforms to ensure all citizens have equal access to the polls, a voice in campaigns and representation in government. It is particularly known for its innovative reform proposals and strategies in advocating instant runoff voting, proportional representation, universal voter registration and a national popular vote for president. As demonstrated by its leadership role in next month's Claim Democracy conference, FairVote is a valuable participant in coalitions seeking other electoral reforms based on achieving our goal of "the way democracy will be."
